Lakes Parish Childrens' Choir - St Joseph's Narrabeen

Lakes Parish Childrens’ Choir

The Lakes Parish Children’s Choir has begun!

Rehearsals take place on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Parish Hall, next to St. Joseph’s Church in Narrabeen.

We are seeking members from Years 2 – 6 for this exciting new choir, led by Nathan Stark. Nathan is an opera singer who trained at WAAPA in Perth and has spent the past few years performing with the West Australian Opera. Nathan is also a passionate and experienced choir director and educator, having worked on many choral and music-in-education projects across Australia, including as a long-serving tutor with the Australian Girls Choir.

The Lakes Parish Children’s Choir rehearsals will focus on singing skills and repertoire, but will also incorporate drama, movement, musicianship and working as an ensemble. Best of all – it’s FREE! The choir will sing at selected weekend Masses and special Church occasions throughout the year.

Students who attend St Joseph’s are invited to move straight to the Parish Hall after the school bell for a light afternoon tea, followed by some fun icebreakers/warmups. Official rehearsal starts at 3:30pm to allow students from other schools to come and join in time. See you there – and bring a friend!
