St Lucy’s Satellite Class - St Joseph's Narrabeen

St Lucy’s Satellite Class

Excellence in education for children with intellectual disabilities

St Lucy’s School is a Catholic primary school for students with disabilities. In addition to their main campus at Wahroonga, they have three satellite classes – two at St Joseph’s in Narrabeen for students starting school and one at St John’s, Narraweena for students preparing for high school.

Satellite Class Program – Start Right at Narrabeen

The Start Right program at Narrabeen includes Kindergarten and Year 1 classes on the St Josephs’ school site which are taught by St Lucy’s specialist teachers. Start Right at Narrabeen is typically a two-year program and focuses on preparing students for their primary and upper primary career.

Students from this program will often transition to a mainstream school and students who show signs of readiness will transition to their new school earlier than the end of year 1.  Students who are best suited to a special education setting after Year 1 have automatic entry into St Lucy’s Wahroonga Campus.

Full details on the St Lucy’s Satellite Classes can be found on the St Lucy’s School website.
