‘Inclusive education for all students regardless of their ability’.
Our school has a comprehensive and collaborative Learning Support Program. The Model is based on a whole school approach and ensures that all students at St Joseph’s who have a disability or learning difficulties receive quality, differentiated, educational, and social support.
Teachers are provided with support for students with additional needs, which is delivered across a variety of modes; professional development, and co-teaching with the Learning Support Teacher. Learning support assistants work in the classrooms in collaboration with professionals working with students.
St Joseph’s values and encourages the involvement of parents in their students educational progress. Meetings are scheduled throughout the year to ensure that families of students with additional needs are able to participate in important decision making around their child’s individual learning goals.
