Thank you for supporting the St Joseph’s Easter Raffle!

This raffle is organised by our Joeys Hub (P&F). The money raised from the Raffle goes towards a yearly donation back to the school, to enhance resources and/or programs for our students, to support and further develop their learning. (For example, funds in the past have been used towards the number chart in the playground, the Zing Activ dance program and the upcoming URStrong personal development program.)

One of the best things about Joeys is our community. We want to celebrate that with a casual and fun get together for parents. The Joeys’ Hub (our parents and friends committee) has put together a Parents’ Night Out, which is an informal way to get to know parents across all grades. Our children play and learn together – so it makes sense we can get to know each other too! Whether your child is just starting out, or has been at Joeys for a few years, come and have a drink under the stars and a chat. BYO drinks and grab your ticket on QKR now. See you there!

2023 saw a raft of tweaks, changes and new additions for our school!

While we’re proud of our heritage, it has given St Joseph’s a fresh makeover and made our grounds more comfortable, visually appealing, fun and enjoyable for our students.

We got a whole new play area, full of brand new equipment that our Joeys couldn’t wait to scramble over!

The whole school exterior was painted, along with the interior of our classrooms.

Every classroom and common area got brand new carpet.

We installed a fresh new shade cloth in our outdoor area, to keep everyone safe and sheltered.

Our Year 6 class of 2023 (supported by the P&F, which our families contributed to via fundraising initiatives) donated this amazing number chart for students to do some hands-on learning.

In 2022, we extended the Kindergarten room with a glass sliding door, to create two flexible learning spaces. This breakout room is used by both our Kindergarten and Year 1 classes, as required, to best support learning.

We also renovated the old arts and crafts room, to create a new, bigger classroom (that is currently used by our Year 2 class).

Since 2022, whiteboards and aging projectors were upgraded to new technology.  In 2022, Kindergarten and Year 2 had large interactive screens installed in their classrooms, and in 2023, smart TVs were installed in all other classrooms. These have software/hardware so iPads, laptops and Chromebooks can seamlessly connect and be used interactively as a group.

Our handball courts were freshly repainted, with a new one added.

And we had soccer goals painted where our students love to play!

We’re always focused on improving our facilities for our students and can’t wait to dive into 2024!

Here’s our official stationary list for 2024!
