Dear Colleagues, Parents and Parishioners,

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Jones as Principal at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Narrabeen commencing from Term 1 of 2026.

Liz is a high performing and future focussed leader with significant experience in leadership across Catholic education. Since joining Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) in 2012, she has held the role of Religious Education Coordinator (REC) at St Thomas’, Willoughby and the role of Assistant Principal (AP) at St Gerard’s, Carlingford and most recently at St John the Baptist, Freshwater.

Liz is deeply committed to our Shaping Tomorrow Together in Faith Vision of authentic, professional Catholic education delivered with care and compassion and has a clear focus on inspiring hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning.

Please join me in congratulating Elizabeth and welcoming her into her new role as Principal at St Joseph’s, Narrabeen.

Yours sincerely, Danny Casey Director of Schools

Following last month’s launch of its bold and innovative five-year strategy Shaping Tomorrow, Together in Faith, Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) has revealed transformational changes set to redefine Catholic education across the Diocese.

Unveiled by Bishop Anthony Randazzo on 4 July at the all-staff Strategy Day, the plan charts a visionary course for a Catholic education that is faith-driven, future- ready, and designed to meet the evolving needs of families.

“This strategy is about courageously shaping a future where every child can thrive from Baptism into post-school life,” Bishop Randazzo said. “Together, we are building an extraordinary future.” Director of Schools Danny Casey said the transformation is about far more than new facilities.

“We are expanding pathways, modernising facilities, and reshaping the way Catholic education supports parents and their children,” Mr Casey said. “Our aim is to walk alongside families from the very earliest years of learning, through school and beyond — while staying true to our mission of faith and academic excellence.”

HELPFUL TIP: We love having parents and family along to cheer our Joeys on at the Athletics Carnival! A reminder that currently, the main track area is closed which means we will be running on the grass space to the left hand side. There is no seating here for spectators, so you may want to bring a chair or rug to sit on. Please don’t sit too close to the track, allowing our Joeys some space to run. There’s also no canteen (so BYO coffee, water and snacks). See you there!

See you there!

We’ve love you to join us for a special morning, hosted by Year 4.

The event is free but please RSVP (for catering purposes).
